      Keeping K-9s in Kevlar's  Photo Contest 2016
Winning K-9 Photos receive K9 Storm vests!(Photo of K9 Storm vests recently donated to five K-9s in Washington State).

Keeping K-9s in Kevlar is holding a K-9 photo contest on their Facebook site for handlers to have a chance to win their K-9 a K9 Storm Kevlar vest. Voting will be in the form of “likes” for each K-9 photo submitted. The K-9 photos with the most “likes” will win a K9 Storm Kevlar vest, free of charge to handlers and their agency (paid for by community raised funds).  K-9s must come from low budget agencies and respond to multiple at-risk calls.   Photo entry begins January 1st.  Deadline for entry submission is January 29th, 2016. No late entries, no exceptions.   Voting will begin February 1st, 2016.  Kevlar vest winners will be announced on Valentines’ Day, Feb 14th, 2016.

Kevlar Vests Cost:
$2,500 (each).

We have enough funds to donate 2 Kevlar vests for 1st and 2nd place winners.  The more funds recieved, the more K-9s we can vest in this photo contest.  If you want to privately fund (in full) a K-9 in the photo contest, or donate with a check rather than Gofundme, please send checks to:

3901 Airport Way

Please be sure to write the name of the K-9 you wish to vest in full on the check.

Donating funds will vest more K-9s in our K-9 Photo competition on our Facebook site.  Privately funding a K-9 will ensure a vest for that K-9 regardless of number of votes.  We hope to vest as many K-9s as possible in our K-9 photo competition.

Are you a handler in need of a Kevlar vest for your K-9 partner fitting the requirements above? We'd love for you to join the competition.

Are you interested in voting for a K-9?

Contest voting begins Feb 1st, 2016.

The following photos are of K-9s we have vested with community raised funds and private donations. The K-9s and handlers shown below are not participants of our photo competition. They were vested in 2015:

K9 Storm vests are custom fit and designed to specifically fit the needs of each K-9 and their duties. Above is K-9 Hyde from Whatcom County Sheriff's Office.
K-9 JAG from Whatcom County Sheriff's Office.

Each vest honors the name of a Fallen Officer nominated by the handler, with permission granted from the Fallen Officer's family.

K-9 Jax from Bellingham Police Department.

K-9 Jax's K9 Storm vest.

Mount Vernon Police Department's K-9 Vektor.

Please excuse our error on your vest, Vektor.  We didn't realize you spelling was incorrect:  Vektor, not Vector.  But your vest is PERFECT.

K-9 Danek from Bellingham Police Department being fitted for his Kevlar vest with the sizing kit from K9 Storm.
Six of these K-9s have been vested by Keeping K-9s in Kevlar.

We are in the process of vesting K-9 Duke from Tacoma Police Department, vest is funded.

We are also in the process of vesting a K-9 from Arlington Police Department, vest is funded.
