mytomatoes.com is an online productivity tool, using the Pomodoro technique to help you focus on a task 25 minutes at a time.
It is used all over the world, mainly by students - and particularly by PhD students.
Some fun facts:
- After releasing mytomatoes.com to the world, I forgot all about it. Nine months later I checked back in to see if anyone was using it. To my big surprise, there was already 25 000 tomatoes registered.
- When mytomatoes went down two years ago, there had been a total of 2 863 068 tomatoes completed, each of 25 minutes.
After many generous donations and a lot of work, mytomatoes returned. Since then another 1 605 494 tomatoes have been completed.
- That's equal to another 27 873 days, or 76 years of productive work. In the last two years.
I need your help to keep mytomatoes up and running.
My name is Magnar Sveen, and for the first four years I paid for the server out of my own pocket. Two years ago I could no longer afford paying for the server, and our provider shut the site down very quickly.
Thankfully, the mytomatoes users came through. They donated everything we needed to keep the server running for a year and more.
No ads, ever
I will never add advertisement to mytomatoes. It is a productivity tool, and ads go against its very nature. So this is me asking for help to keep the server running one more year.
Non-profit
All funds donated will go in full towards paying for the server. Fully funded we can pay for one more year. Thanks for any help you can give.
