Eric still needs our help!!!

Eric Bolivar is a world-class drummer, and has played all over the country. Among other amazing gigs, he's played the Letterman show, but he's always been there on Bourbon Street, backing us all up with his superb talent. He is a full-time musician, and makes his living being so. He's also an amazing, down-to-earth, regular guy that we all love with all our hearts.

Eric has been diagnosed with level 5 kidney failure, and will require dialysis daily for the rest of his life, and possibly a kidney transplant. This will sideline him from doing what he was meant to do for a living for who knows how long, and he desperately needs our help.

It's really hard being a full-time musician, and I can think of no one who deserves your generosity more than him. We are Bourbon Street people, and we take care of our own, but there's only so much we can do by ourselves. I hope you will help.

The amount we chose above is just a number, because we don't really know how much will be enough, so anything you can do is wonderful and amazing, and appreciated.

Please help us help our friend!

It's so heartening to see all the love and support over the last few weeks!! Wow, I'm just floored! My faith in humanity is restored. On behalf of all of us who want to help Eric, thank you!! We're going to leave this up and running, so just know that you have lightened the burden of a very good guy!!

Wow!! Thank you Soooooo much everyone, for all of your love and generosity!! We, Eric's Bourbon Street family, are so amazed and grateful for all the love! Please remember that all you do goes strictly to help him, and no one else! (love you bro!)

It's also so important that everyone realizes that no one is getting anything out of this except Eric. Not me, not anyone else. We set this up to help our friend, and that's all. We did this to help our friend.

Everyone, I can't begin to tell you how much your support and love means, to all of us who are just trying to help Eric. Its just staggering.

Please know that the number - the goal we are trying to reach is just that - a number, and that's scary. We don't know what's in store. We don't know what's ahead, and that's scary too.

Whatever we reach, it will be because of all your love. Let that number above be just that. This site requires that we post a number.

What's most important is that we're doing all we can, and we know you are, so thank you so very much!!

I had a kidney transplant five years ago. It may ease your mind to know that kidney transplant recipients receive MediCare for three years post-transplant, meaning the surgery and all the meds and follow-ups are covered 100%! I'm not completely sure about dialysis because thankfully I have not had to have it, but I think it also is covered. I, too, am a drummer, and a school bus driver. I got behind in my medical bills last year so I applied for assistance with my main immunosuppressant and received it free for a year. I am in the process of reapplying, and have created my own non-medical-related Gofundme campaign (j345q4) to try and get to the day where I will not have to struggle to keep up with my medical bills. Eric is very blessed, indeed, to have friends and supporters like I see here. I pray he gets a transplant soon, and encourage everyone to sign up as a donor! God bless.

Eric... You most likely do not need a kidney transplant or dialysis. You NEED to contact Dr Joel Wallach who has helped more people with your condition. Anyone who is on dialysis or who has a kidney issue, PLEASE watch this clip all the way through. https://youtu.be/VJrUGB3lrp0 After you watch it and you want what Dr Wallach is talking about... Go to http://www.taking90everyday.com and get what he's talking about.

Eric, your music with Anders has brought joy to me and my wife countless times. We have so enjoyed dancing to your heavy beat! I so hope you get well, and was happy to contribute toward that. It's the least I can do for you given all that you've done for me. -Brian

If could hug and kiss all of you right now, I would. Like I've said before, this whole medical thing has been overwhelming to say the least but the over the top outpouring of love and support has been even more overwhelming. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you all..Eric

Whoever you are Shawn Campany, your post is completely out of line. Shame on you. On another subject, I agree, there must be Government supported programs to aid Eric as well. Worth to check out. Meanwhile, let's see that we get the goal in focus.

There must be some program to help with these expenses; Medicare, Obamacare, Medicaid. Is anyone investigating these?
