Greetings and thank you for visiting my page.
I am an amateur skeleton athlete who is very proud to represent Canada on the world stage. I began sliding in 2010 with the Alberta Skeleton Association to learn the sport. Since then, I progressed into the National Development Team. During the last three years I have competed on the North America Cup and the Europa Cup circuits.
Each year I set goals for myself and with each season comes a bigger challenge and a larger financial burden. This past season I spent the entire year in Europe racing on new courses and competing with some of the most talented sliders Europe has to offer. The experience gained on these tracks and against the competitors will greatly help me on my reaching next year’s goals.
At this time I am searching for kind individuals such as you to help me offset the cost involved. To give you an idea of the monies involved, this last season cost me in excess of $15,000. All of this money went to travel, accommodation, track fees, coaching and meals. As you may or may not understand financial assistance to Canadian amateur athletes is minimal.
In the offseason I work a part time job and study at Mount Royal university. I also train 6 days a week for skeleton. As you can imagine juggling all of that in my life is difficult.
