Kaylee's Healthcare and Treatment
Thank you for visiting our page. As Kaylee's family, we know that she has a long road ahead of her. We are going to be there for her and her family every step of the way.
On January 15, 2016, Kaylee was admitted to Rady's Children's Hospital in San Diego, California. She was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and was immediately started on a course of treatment, including chemotherapy. For the next two and a half years, her treatment will continue.
While Kaylee and her family do have medical coverage, everyone knows that insurance won't cover all that this family will need to get through this difficult time. Among the many sacrifices that Kaylee's family will need to make, they will miss time at work and as a result, they will face some financial hardship. This page is dedicated to supporting Kaylee and her family throughout her treatment, and the funds will be used intermittently over the next few years.
Kaylee is a sweet and sassy, princess-loving little angel, and at just two years old, she cannot fight this battle alone. She and her family will tremendously benefit from whatever you think you can give - be it $1 or $100. Your gift will help to make life a little easier.
If your employer offers gift matching or particpates in other charitable offerings, please consider Kaylee and her family. Be sure to join us for upcoming fundraising and benefit events in the near future.
Kaylee thanks you for your support - and so do we!
Today marks one year since sweet Kaylee was diagnosed with ALL. Over the past year we have seen, felt and lived the generosity of the community, and loyal supporters like you.
Thank you for your continued support over the past year. This campaign has helped to support the Mikulsky family and will continue to help as Kelly makes the transition back to work and Kaylee continues her journey toward being cancer free.
Here is a picture of Kaylee and a fellow cancer warrior. Today, we celebrate what this journey has brought us - not the tears, frustrations and trials - but the friendships, hope and beauty of this wonderful community.
Last night, Kaylee and some Royal Court supporters participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk.
This walk funds lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets.
Our team of about 25 walkers raised more than $1000 for this organization and we also enjoyed an evening of inspiration as we walked leisurely along a two mile route at Petco Park.
Kaylee is a lucky girl to have such support and we were honored to walk with her and in honor of so many who benefit as a result of L&LS research efforts.
Thank for your continued support of our Princess!
As September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, Princess Kaylee's Royal Court has been hard at work; it's the perfect time for an update on our girl...
If you have been following her story, you know Kaylee has now entered the Maintenance phase of her treatment and she has been given a "projected completion" date of March, 2018. While this sounds far off, it's actually great news and Kaylee continues to fight this battle with the support of her friends, family and YOU!
Just this morning, Kaylee's mother was featured on KSON's broadcast in support of Kaylee and Childhood Cancer Awareness month. We are reminded that our story is far too common and Kelly faces the difficult task of being a nurse (and now a mother) to children battling cancer - what an inspiration she is. We know where Kaylee gets her strength!
As always, thank you for following our journey and supporting our girl in so many ways.

I pray your daughter receives the best treatment needed, and has the best nurses and doctors to help her overcome this disease. Hope , love, and prayer is also the best medicine. It helped me as I also was diagnosed with ALL when I was 7 years old. My family and Children's Hospital made that difficult time a great blessing. Stay strong, god will surround you with love, and strength in times of struggle and feelings of weakness. God bless you and your daughter.
We are still praying for Kaylee, I posted for prayers for her on my Facebook as your Husband knows I'm avid about prayer! God is great! My Friends have been praying and have donated to her go fund me page! I have posted her updates, keep them coming. As I will continue to post them! All my Love and Prayers. If you need me just reach out. I work with the children at Rock Church and am studying to be a Children's Pastor!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Baby Kaylee. Please feel the love and support of the community who is rallying around you. It is one of the most powerful and beautiful of all human acts; the work you have both done for those in need is coming to light. We are with you all the way. Gods speed little one.
