Our mother and father were brutally attacked on Monday, December 5th by our brother, John. John is bipolar, diagnosed 16 years ago. On Monday, after 7 days of no sleep or medication and failed attempts at being committed into the hospital in Phoenix, AZ, John went into a psychotic rage. He has been charged with attempted murder and Mom remains in ICU with a massive brain injury and in an unresponsive state. Our father was released from the hospital with minor injuries. While we remain hopeful, we are all aware of the long recovery road that lies ahead for Mom.
We are surrounded by so much love and support. Many of you have asked how you can help. My sister and I believe that taking some of the financial burden off of my father may help with some of the medical expenses.
