Katie's Medical Home Renovations

Katie and Craig were married in 2011, Katie a special ed teacher (daughter of a deceased, retired NYPD officer) and Craig a New York City firefighter. As soon as they met, they each knew their puzzle pieces came together to form a complete picture. Craig loves Katie wholeheartedly, despite knowing her  multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. Slowly and steadily, Katie's  illness has progressed and her quality of life has declined.  Katie is no longer able to work at the job she considered her calling in life. Her recent hospilization has made her unable to stand and she is primarily bedridden.  So much of Katie's independence is gone and she dreams of doing the everyday tasks so many people take for granted. Any money raised will be used towards a handicap accessible bathroom  and kitchen. Katie and Craig have worked so hard towards buying a house and making it a home, however,  as of now, Katie is unable to enjoy their sanctuary. Every year since her diagnosis in 2003, Katie has raised thousands of dollars for MS related charities in order to help others afflicted with this illness. This year her and Craig would so appreciate receiving some help from others at this most difficult time.  Any contribution is an appreciated contribution.
