I created this GofundME page to help build my Daughters Car.
First off let me tell you alittle bit about my daughter Katie. As with any proud parent she is an amazing child, what makes her even more amazing is that she was diagnosed at 3 years old with Systemic JRA. She has grown with this disability into an awesome young woman and a strong one at that. Now at the age she is (15) she appreciates the work I put into vehicles when I customize them and wanted one for herself. Luck of the draw and some very helpfull SUICIDESLAB members I got a 1967 Convertible Continental! the very last year that a convertible was offered with the Suicide doors!
You may ask why should I donate to a childs automotive build? thats just spoiling the child. As her Father I want nothing but the best for her of course. But as many know times are tough and while I have a good job it sometimes just allows me to get by, in turn she has to do without. The one thing I do have is an incredible talent and willpower to help make this car something she can be proud of and I can be proud to have been able to create this car for her. I truly beleive she derserves this, she is kind hearted and an excellent student, often times the highest grading student in her class. Not only is she an excellent student, she also does Marching band, Drama, Theator and many other after school activities wich give her great recognition. I have this talent to do this and I want to do this because she rightfully deserves it.
But thats not just it either, not only will I be working my butt off on this project but shes going to be working along side me the whole way as well! I think this will be a lesson that she could benifeit from.
This is a Rendering I had commisioned to give us a Goal to shoot for, of course doen from her ideas for color and build.
please consider helping me build this car, I think its a moddest amount needed for this type of build and any left over will go directly to her for schooling.
and I would like to go ahead and Name off some of the contributors to this build allready, I hope to add many more to this list!
