Kashmir Girls School

Global Citizen Journey is bringing a delegation to Kashmir in the fall.  We will join 10 US citizen diplomats with 12 from Kashmir and other parts of India to live and work together, learning about the challenges facing this struggling region.  We will bring our energy and support to a public school that has no clean water, no toilets, no windows, not even any flooring let alone teaching materials.  The more money we raise, the more we can help these two village schools.  Our work with the schools is directed through our wonderful local partners, ELFA International (Educational and Livelihood for All).  Our goal is to improve sanitary conditions so that girls can continue attending school throughout the month, including the days of their menstrual cycle, rather than missing a week of school each month.  Your donation will change their lives!
