Karen's Karing Korner

Karen is battling breast cancer. She is a single mom, self-employed but can't work due to the cancer. She finished 17 rounds of chemotherapy, & just this week completed 33 rounds of radiation. She has already had a double mastectomy & needs more surgery starting in June. Her radiant son Anthony has Cerebral Palsy, a seizure disorder & Cerebral Hypoplasia, the doctors said that he would never walk or talk and he has proving them wrong! Her daughter is 6 years in remission from Lymphoma cancer, diagnosed when she was a junior in high school. We've done a fund raising event, & are holding on our 3rd Bake Sale, to help with some of the daily living expenses that this family so desperately needs. A little effort from every person can make a strong impact on people’s lives. We also know Karen would be, & has been there for us when the tables were turned. People that can't make the neighborhood events, have asked for a gofundme to be set up, so here it is. I know everyone struggles, but this family has had more than their share! Imagine not being able to pay your mortgage (rent), utility bills & for the Special Olympics activities that your son needs? Karen we love you!
