Karaite Kasher Meat Processing
Hello,
my name is Travis and I am a Karaite Jewish Shochet. I am raising money to build and maintain a Karaite Kosher meat processing facility. It is my goal to use the money to buy equipment and get all the proper licensing to start this business. I am hoping to have the funds ASAP but within the next 2 months would be awesome.
This project means the world to me. I have spent the last few years trying to bring Karaite Kasher meat and Poultry to the United States. The primary goal of the money is to keep the company self-reliant and as vertically integrated as possible. We plan to use the money in the following ways:
* To help with construction costs including facility design.
* To begin breeding sheep, chicken and goat for slaughter (see 3 year plan)
* To ensure that the business is self-sustainable without need of further funding.
3 Year Plan
The 3 year plan is to accomplish the following tasks:
* Be up and running in spring 2017. The initial operation will include the butcher shop that will cut and package meats for sale. Slaughter will be done at another facility. I will personally perform the slaughter and inspection on these animals prior to transport.
* Work with local growers to help increase production numbers. By doing so, costs per pound will decrease over time.
* To add on-site slaughter (requires rezoning) by 2018
* To build the business to over $1m in sales volume (both local and mail order sales)
How does this benefit you???
The rising costs of Kosher meat is how, we are dedicated to decreasing the costs of Kosher meat and poultry while ensuring that animals are treated ethically during their entire life cycle.
For all who donate, we will give rewards for you assistance as well as giving you advance notice on new products in development prior to their official release (via VIP notices).
To learn more about our company, please see Six Star Meat and Poultry or Facebook. We post updates regularly and will post the overall progress of the project.
Over the last few months, i have been very busy getting all things completed. Included in this have been building permit, sewage permit, well installation as well as zoning and planning meetings.
The process of construction and permitting is a very daunting process that has taken a lot of time and energy. All in all it is a labor of love to help bring our products to you. We endeavor to be open in the first part of the year (well before Pessach). Construction is on schedule and we will update you through the process.
If you find it in your heart to donate, we appreciate it. If not please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
More updates are coming soon.
May YHWH bless us in our endeavors.

Shalom Travis: Just found this today, yet I see that it has been going on for 5 months now. Not sure but perhaps there is a need for more advertising that you are endeavoring to do this and need the funding capital to do so. That may help. Also, not real sure about just how the whole stock market thing actually works, but that thought came into mind as I was praying for your success in raising the needed capital. From the tiny bit I think I understand about how stocks work, people purchase shares into your company, which in turn gives the company more liquid capital. In return, each person who has purchased a share into your company, has a good opportunity to make an increase in the monies they have given originally into the company, once the company begins to turn a profit. The higher the profit the company makes, the higher the value of their individual stocks go up. In this way, the people have a way of earning a substantial increase on monies they invest. Much more than if they simply put that same amount into a savings account! This might be another possible way of getting more funds to start up your business. Another aspect of this is that the question does come across a persons mind of: "Now what happens to my $10, $20, $100, or $1000 if enough monies are not raised in order to get this up and running?" I think this "stock" idea would qualm any such concerns, as this way, (should it turn out that enough funds were not raised to get it started), that each person would have a "paper trail record" (as would you also), of who gave and in what amount. Thus ensuring each individual investor that if enough monies were not raised and therefore the plans to build the processing plant had to be halted, that their monies would be returned to them. Any time limit could be placed on this as far as a timeline that you set. It has already been 5 months, so you might want to give yourself a year or even 18 months or more. Along those lines as far as setting a "timeline" you might also consider asking for "pledges". Then, once the amount of "pledges" you receive come to equal the amount of initial capital funds that you need to begin the company building project, (ie: the $50 k), the individual monies "pledged" by each person would become due within 30 days. If this were to be something you would choose to implement, be sure to give yourself a "cushion" of sorts as when the time comes to send in their "pledge", some people will not be able to go through with sending it in due to unforeseen circumstances that arose over that time frame, (such as a loss of job, tornado, fire, flood, sickness, etc.). So that if $50 k is what is needed, you wait until you receive $60 k or $75 k in "pledges" first before calling for those "pledges" to be sent in. One other thing is that in your picture posted here on this site,is that it shows all goats. This raises a question as to what all types of meat will you be processing? Will it only be goat meat from goats you raise? Or do you have resources of others who raise cattle, (which are only all grass fed and which are not given antibiotics and other chemical additives into their feed and water) also, so that other types of meats can be purchased? Will keep you in our prayers as this is something that is very much needed here in the USA for not only Karaites, but also many who are just coming to the truth and are looking to keep ha Torah, including the dietary laws to the best of their abilities. Another idea just came to mind. I know that the 7th day Adventists try to observe the dietary laws in ha Torah. Perhaps you could come up with some type of flyer/brochure that was colorful, tri-folded and then sent out via mailings to all of the 7th Day Adventists Churches in the USA, asking for them to put it in an announcement in their bulletins and to hang the brochure up on the bulletin board in the foyer. On the brochure, you could also include the go fund me web address as well as how to find your exact page to give to it? Hope something here is found to be helpful to you as well as fruitful. May YHWH bless your endeavor in this undertaking.
