November 16th was a life changer for many people in Kavery Delta Region especially people from Adirampattinam and surrounding villages due to Cyclonic Storm Gaja. Adirampattiam, a small coastal town of south Indian state of Tamil Nadu was hit badly causing thousands of people to lose their source of income. Adirampattinam is surrounded by more than 20 villages, whose main source of income is from banana trees, coconut trees and paddy cultivation. Gaja uprooted almost 90% of the coconut trees and hence these people are lost their source of income and their affectionate coconut trees. Every tree in the land has a history of 30-50 years and within one night the history was rewritten for the people of Kavery Delta.

This campaign is to raise money to support people in and around Adirampattinam to provide basic infrastructure, food, restore water and electricity. Every penny counts so please donate generously to support the people. American Adirai Forum (AAF), a non profit 501c(4) organization based out of California, USA is actively working with the 100s of volunteers who are stationed in Adirampattinam and surrounding villages to support them by helping them acquire necessary goods to distribute the storm hit areas.

100% of these funds will go directly to the victims of this devastating storm. Restoring power sometimes takes days but restoring lives always takes much longer. Let’s begin now, together!

These donations will be managed by the American Adirai Forum and distributed to those in need in Adirampattinam.
