Leah's Recovery

Leah is a sweet loving 4 year old who loves life and all that it brings! She is carefree and eager for adventure. On Saturday, October 9th, Leah was enjoying a fun fall night with a bonfire at home with her siblings and Dad. In a split second she fell into the bonfire. Her dad, with all of his medical experience, quickly rushed her to the local hospital where she was later airlifted to the Riley Children's Hospital Burn Floor. Her family was able to join her as they cleaned up her burns and applied new dressings. Leah's hands, arms and face were the areas that were affected. Leah's concern and love for her family have still been strong as she has tried to comfort them through this experiece. Leah's journey has just begun. She is being highly medicated for pain and comfort. She also faces the need for surgeries as well as an extended time in the burn center. Leah's parents will be traveling back and forth (a 2 hour drive) to be with Leah while still caring for their other children.  This money will help with travel, food and another incidentals incurred while Leah is recovering in the hospital.
