Genesis Bryan Study Abroad 2015
Hello,
Thank you for your financial contribution with my study abroad educational experience. I will be traveling to Paris, France for the academic 2015 Summer semester (June 30, 2015 to August 3, 2015). While attending classes that will enrich my academic career for five weeks in the "City of Lights", I will also have the grand opportunity to travel to other historical cities in Europe to experience the fascinating attributes of European culture.
Your financial contribution will assist with the following:
· Roundtrip airfare between Atlanta and Paris
· Accommodations at Cite Universitaire
· 4 dinners per week
· Dinner cruise on the Seine
· Overnight trip to the castles of the Loire
· Unlimited travel on the Paris metro and bus system
· A primary health insurance policy providing coverage for medical expenses
This study abroad experience will provide me with the following benefits :
· Professional Edge- Employers value work and study abroad experience because it demonstrates that students can interact across cultures, an important skill in our interconnected world. Time abroad can build professional networks, expose students to new career paths, and provide insight into their dream job. Employers seek individuals who have skills gained from studying abroad- adaptability, flexible, creative, cooperative, and innovative.
· Academic Enrichment- Firsthand experiences compliment what is learned in the classroom. This a chance to find renewed interest in my major/minor or choose a new academic direction. There also is a chance to become inspired to complete a semester abroad or to pursue graduate studies abroad.
· Personal Growth- I will return with a new perspective of my own culture and role in the world, as well as gaining self-confidence knowing I can navigate in unfamiliar surroundings, and will acquire a better understanding of personal strengths and weaknesses.
