Landon's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
For those of you who know members of the Jaros Family (Todd, Megan, Landon, and Campbell) in Platte City, you know that they are some of the most generous, caring, passionate, resilient, humble and selfless individuals on Earth.

Todd and Megan have spent countless hours giving back to the Platte County community through coaching sports, helping minister to young teenagers and high school students, volunteering their time for different non-profit events or just lending a hand to someone who was in need. Now, it’s time we return the generosity that Todd and Megan have extended into our community and help them in their greatest time of need.

Todd and Megan’s lives were turned upside down last Tuesday night when they took their son Landon into the ER because he was experiencing excruciating headaches and acting unusually lethargic. After running him through a number of tests, they discovered his white blood cell count was extremely high. After further tests and just before midnight on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Landon Jaros was diagnosed with leukemia, specifically T-Cell Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

If there’s a silver lining, it’s that this type of leukemia is the most receptive to treatment and most curable of all types of leukemia. This is the best possible prognosis we could have hoped for, but it doesn’t negate the fact this is going to be an extremely difficult battle over (at the very least) the next three years.

Todd, Megan and Landon are in need of help from their friends, family and community to help bring them through this tough time in their lives.

We ask that you please donate whatever you are able to monetarily, so that the Jaros family may apply these funds toward unexpected hospital bills and inevitable medical attention that Landon will need along his journey to recovery. If you are unable to donate a monetary amount, we ask that you please keep their family and precious Landon in your thoughts and prayers.

With your positive thoughts and generous donations, we know the Jaros family will remain strong and pull through this difficult time in their lives. Thank you.
