Homeless Fairfax Man Living in Cave

Donation protected
This homeless man, Yosue Joel Rios, 25, was found living in a cave he painstakingly dug out of the ground in Van Dyke Park in Fairfax, Virginia. He was arrested for destruction of property and hauled off to jail, and his cave, the only shelter he had, was destroyed. How is it that in this country it's not illegal to be homeless, but it's illegal to dig a hole in the ground to live in for shelter and warmth?

What was found in his cave, according to news reports, were books that looked like homework assignments and manuals for teaching english. A non-profit near by said they knew Yosue and that he was a regualr at their bible studies. Clearly this man is trying to better himself.

I was so moved after reading his story that I felt compelled to try to find a way to help him. He seems like a decent man having a really rough time and someone who needs a little help to find his way.

I am asking anyone reading this story to please consider helping this homeless man. He has no home, no money and will need food, shelter and financial assistance for fines and court fees and will most likely have to pay restitution to the town for the expense of refilling the cave.  All monies raiser here will be donated to benefit him and all expenses he will incur as a result of this.

Please, let's help this man find is way.

Blessings to you all.
Thank you
Catherine
