"Project Clear the debt "

For 4 years Fresh Start has been up and running and in that time we have rescued and rehomed over 1000 animals. It saddens us to say this but we have to close our doors in taking on any new animals. We are at our all time high with vet bills which means we need to get these paid before we can help any new dog / cat that needs our help.

We have been fundraising and trying to get money in to help us but its just not enough to cover our $30K plus debt. We believe that our dogs / cats have the right to fight and survive but for us to survive we need to get money into the bank to pay off vet fees, emergency fees, kennel fees, food, worming, flea / tick treatments to ensure that our animals are kept healthy.

So until we can get our vet bills paid off we have closed our doors on any new intakes to concentrate on the ones that we do have and we apologise to the ones we cannot take. It breaks our hearts that we have to do this but if we wish to keep alive with our rescue we need to make sacrifices.

With nearly 12,000 likers with just a $5 donation each we can clear our vet bills, emergency fees, kennels fees and open our doors back up to intakes. So please if you can give up one coffee or muffin and everyone just donated $5 we will get there and pay off everything and be back up and running to saving lives as that's what we do best.
