Donation protected
Our sweet Australian Shepherd Jude was taken from our family. He has been our best buddy throughout life and loved by our friends and family. A black Camaro trespassed onto our remote property and for reasons unknown brutally ran over and killed our family companion and protector.
Life is full of good and bad times, but one thing we have learned from this experience is that really compassionate and caring people exist in our local community and beyond. Through social media we have received such kind and thoughtful notes of condolences and support from people all over the world.
We would like to remember Jude for what he was to his family not how his life ended. He was protective, loving, loyal, and playful. His unfortunate and tragic ending should not be in vain, we wish that his loss should bring attention to the fight against animal cruelty.
We originally posted a $1000 reward for the individual that is the procuring cause in finding Jude's killer. We have received requests on how to donate and increase the reward originally offered, however we have set up this funding account with desire to raise money for Las Cruces's local animal shelter in Jude's name. We hope to raise donations and awareness towards the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley in memory Jude.
The ASCMV is an extremely high intake shelter, in 2016 it received nearly 10,000 animals. This organization offers a variety of essential services to lost and stray animals as well as sponsors local adoption events. You can also donate directly to their website www.ascmv.org If you want your donation to go specifically towards increasing the reward please note #reward in the comments. If Jude's killer is not found all donations will go to ASCMV.
