Beloved YouTuber and Magic The Gathering Superman Jeremy Hambly was viciously assaulted at Gen-Con in Indianapolis on the morning of August 2nd.

Jeremy, also known as The Quartering, was standing outside of a bar when he was approached, asked to identify himself, and then suddenly attacked, beaten, while his attacker yelled, “I’ll f***ing kill you” over and over.

This was political violence.

The perpetrator has been identified, and will be arrested shortly.  But Jeremy lacks the means to sue him in a civil court, and we feel money shouldn’t be the reason Jeremy shouldn’t be the reason his attacker isn’t punished to the fullest extent of the law.

If you believe extremists who call normal people “Nazis” in order to justify acts of violence against them deserve to be brought to justice, and wish to contribute to Jeremy’s legal fund, here is your opportunity.

Hey Everyone! The law firm has been paid and work has now begun! Thank you all so very much for your generosity and for continuing to share this! They let me do a smaller retainer as a favor to us which I am thankful for!

Attached is the "receipts" :)

I've sent everything over to the legal team and am awaiting an invoice for the retainer. ($10,000) I suppose it's fine to tell you all it will be the same lawyer that represents Steven Crowder His "half Asian" lawyer Bill Richmond. As I gather more information about the costs of hiring lawyers potentially here in Wisconsin, Indianapolis, and having a team to coordinate them all I think it's a better number to have as a goal to be closer to $40,000.

Sadly there isn't any real way to estimate these things but based on what others have had to spend in court the number $50,000 keeps getting thrown around.

I promise you I will post regular lawyer approved updates here as well as breakdowns on costs and damages etc.

Let's set a precedent! I am so damn thankful for all of you!

I want to first of all thank all of you for backing this and to Ethan for setting it up. I wanted to give everyone an update.

I have retained legal council and this is moving forward.

I will be pursuing both Criminal & Civil charges and understand that the community demands a precedent, one I am willing to see though.

I have never been in any sort of legal case before but what I know is this, the retainer is $10,000 which I will pay today. People have been throwing around number like $50,000 as a number to expect and I guess given the hourly these folks get it's possible.

If you have already backed, now that I am just the man to see this through and I hope you'll consider sharing this out now and imploring friends of the cause to help as well.

I'll be announcing who my legal team is later today but let's just say I think everyone is going to be very happy when they hear who it is. :)

Thank you all for stepping up and giving me the confidence to take this to the next level.
