This Go Fund Me page was started to raise enough money
to get someone to turn in a cruel and sadistic animal abuser.
The dog has been named Baron and was found on Detroit's Southwest Side on Tuesday after a concerned citizen called the Michigan Humane Society.
Baron's nose and ears had been viciously removed. He was also discovered with lacerations to his tail and back legs, according to the Humane Society who has offered a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who committed this crime.
Someone must know who committed this cruel and sadistic act on a poor defenseless dog. Our initiative is to enlarge the reward to spur someone to help get this person off the street and in jail.
Anyone who could do such an inhumane thing must be a serial animal abuser and most likely is a child abuser as well. Society cannot allow a person like this to remain free.
We must help these helpless animals. They can’t help themselves. Let’s all band together and raise enough reward money.
One of the organization's animal cruelty investigators said: "It appears that someone purposely maimed this poor dog, which has caused it a great deal of suffering.” The Humane Society has offered a reward but we think more money can be raised. We will contact local television stations and leverage social media to get the word out and make this effort go viral.
Unfortunately at this time the law does not sufficiently protect animal related crimes. These crimes do not carry the same weight as those committed against people. People have a responsibility to step-in and step-up to help seek justice for acts of animal cruelty.
All funds, 100% of money raised less Go Fund Me's service fees will go to the reward fund that the Michigan Humane Society has in place. If a person or persons are apprehended without the assistance of a tip and convicted ; or if the abuser(s) are not found, in the next 30 days , then all funds raised, 100% of the money less Go Fund Me's service fees, will go to MHS (Michigan Humane Society) DDR (Detroit Dog Rescue) and MARL (Michigan Animal Rescue League)
Please give what you can afford so we can publicize this effort in local media and find and prosecute this person or the abusers and put them behind bars as soon as possible. Every dollar counts.
