In 2009, Julia underwent five reconstructive surgeries for a severe dog bite to the face.
In 2010, Julia was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent chemo, radiation, and two lumpectomies.
In May 2015, Julia underwent an emergency hysterectomy after collapsing in severe abdominal pain. Ironically, Julia was actually at the hospital for a breast cancer follow-up when she collapsed. Julia was diagnosed with uterine leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. After the emergency surgery, Julia was prescribed two different forms of chemotherapy – neither of which were effective – and the tumors grew once again inside her abdomen.
In May 2016, Julia underwent a traumatic 8 hour surgery to remove 7 tumors from her abdomen. She remained at the hospital for 14 days.
Julia will begin chemotherapy in the coming weeks.
Although insurance covered some of the costs associated with the medical procedures, medications and hospitalizations, it did not cover all of it. Julia is finding herself in a challenging financial situation and any assistance you can provide is appreciated. Let's take some of Julia's financial burdens off of her plate so she can direct her energy on healing and fighting this monster!!!
Please see the attached obituary for Jules. See you all next Saturday.
Julia passed away this morning. She was surrounded by family and friends and was peaceful at the end. Please keep Julia's family, friends, and caregivers in your thoughts and prayers. Further information regarding Julia's funeral arrangements will follow. Again, Julia's Mom and sister are appreciative of your support and prayers.
Rest in Peace my sister, We will all remember your friendship, sassy spirit, open heart and beautiful smile!
Following intense chemo in NYC on October 3, 2016, Julia suffered complications and had to go to the emergency room. One complication was followed by another, and our warrior Julia was suffering and in constant pain. In consultation with her medical team, friends, family, and her God, Julia entered into hospice in NYC on October 14, 2016. As of today, October 25, 2016, Julia remains in hospice in NYC and is comfortable and pain free.
Julia's mother and sister traveled to NYC and remain by her side. They are both humbled and thankful for all of the support they have received. Your donations will assist with travel, hotel rooms, meals, care of Julia's beloved dogs, and other support.
Julia is responsive at times, and the family and caregivers welcome visitors. Feel free to reach out to me and I can provide the hospital address.
I will continue to provide updates as I receive them. In the meantime, please continue to keep the memories you have of Julia alive-send her Mom, Sister, and care-givers prayers, positive energy, and warm thoughts.
For those of you who have not heard, Julia's surgery and subsequent chemo were not as successful as we all had hoped.
While up in NYC this past week, Julia consulted with an oncologist at Sloan Kettering, who gave her some hope. In the next coming weeks, Julia will undergo additional chemo treatment in NYC in order shrink the new tumors and stabilize them. She will be traveling to NYC for four days every three weeks.
This means travel costs, hotel rooms etc. Please consider donating in order to allow Julia to focus on healing rather than the financial burden.
I can not afford to donate but please consider looking into alternative treatments. Watch this video https://vimeo.com/66474740 I have seen it heal cancer with my own eyes. I live in a legal state and have made the oils infused into other oils to ingest. One patient had a brain tumor and was Pre Diabetic and had AID's from a transfusion when he was younger. After 1 year using these oils he no longer has a brain tumor and is no longer pre diabetic and his AID's is no longer detectable. That is just one of the stories. Praying for your healing.
