Julia's Heart

Julia and Doug are the most selfless people you will ever meet. They are incredible parents to 4 kids under the age of 5.  They've adopted three of those beautiful children and the fourth is a miracle baby girl who just turned one.

Julia has suffered 3+ massive heart attacks this last week.  She is 28 years old, a tri-athlete and former personal trainer who has the healthiest of lifestyles. Her primary doctor conducted an EKG and thought something looked odd and urged her to go to the hospital.

There, all the doctors and nurses were convinced it was nothing more than a panic attack. All except one mystery doctor whom they had never seen and haven't seen since. She insisted that Julia get a stress test. One that saved her life.

During the stress test she had her second heart attack.

The doctors found that she needs triple bypass surgery. The main artery to her brain is 90% blocked and she has thin arteries, making this a very high risk surgery. If that weren't enough, her kidneys are in stage 4 renal failure so she will also need a kidney transplant WHEN (not IF) the heart surgery is successfully completed. Additionally, because she is a Type-1 Diabetic, the doctors also will be replacing her pancreas.

First and foremost, Julia needs your prayers. The doctors speak with pessimism but we along with Julia and Doug have hope in a God who works miracles as effortlessly as He breathes. He has already intervened several times to get Julia to this point; we are praying and believing that He will pull her through the surgery and recovery.

This campaign is to help cover the cost of medical bills as well as their cost of living as Doug is devoting 100% of his time to taking care of his wife and family. The recovery for this heart surgery alongside a kidney and pancreas transplant is a long, hard road. One that Julia will tell us all about after she's through it.
