Julia Naegele, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the age of 32 near Juba in South Sudan, Africa while riding in a SUV that was part of a United Nations convoy. She was in South Sudan on a mission to help provide relief; feeding the hungry and operating refugee camps.
Julia's passion was providing care in rural districts across the world, including Haiti, Congo, Rwanda, South Sudan and Kenya.
Julia was employed at Chemonics International as a Security Analyst for Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) and assisted with integrating care, developing & monitoring agricultural, food securities and nutrition. Her career was a "testament to her selflessness that took her around the globe, touching lives of many," She had ONE MISSION and that was to fight and support people that could not fight for themselves. Julia was a big voice!
