Judy's Fire Rescue

Update:  Its been awhile and the building still continues, but Judy is moving into her new home soon.  The travel trailer that you all helped to fund has served her well during the past 2 years, but she is so ready to move into her almost complete home.  It took longer than we all anticipated, but such is the nature of construction.  The animals were taken care of with immediacy and now its time to fluff Judy's nest.  

She has asked me to reach out to you all and see if anyone would be willing to help her with getting appliances.  She is on a fixed income and doesn't have much extra after her personal expenses.  She would happily accept donated appliances (propane) and/or a few extra bucks so she can buy to outfit her new digs.

She thanks you all from the bottom of her heart and is getting pretty excited about moving into a larger cozier space soon.   ~  See new photos and update!

Our dear neighbor Judy (the goat lady) Gellhaus, 77, one of the original pioneers of Pioneertown, mother to 30 goats, 20 chickens, 25 cats, ducks, geese, etc, lost her home and barns to a raging fire last night on the coldest night of the year.   On a fixed income and with limited means, she has a big hill in front of her and an even bigger heart for her animals.   We aim to rebuild her home and farm better than it was and do it quickly.  This is when community counts!   
The first priority will be the rebuilding of small animal barns to get the survivors out of the elements, after which, a home and new power infrastructure needs to be built for Judy who escaped with only the clothes on her back.     This will cost at least $30,000 so this initial goal for this go fund me campaign reflects these modest first goals.
