"Join Judy Gabriel in her Journey"

Judy Gabriel is 1 in a million. After months of painful migraines and double vision on May 25th an MRI revealed that Judy has a very rare tumor on the base of her skull called a chordoma. 1 in 1 million people are diagnosed with a Chordoma every year.

Chordoma is a rare type of cancer that occurs in the bones of the skull and spine. Chordomas are slow growing, but are relentless and tend to recur after treatment. Because of their proximity to critical structures they are difficult to treat and require highly specialized care.

Judy had her first surgery on June 30th to confirm her diagnosis and remove some of the tumor. She is still recovering from this surgery. She will need to travel to Pittsburgh, PA for a 2nd surgery to attempt a gross total resection to be performed by a Chordoma Specialist at Pittsburgh. This will be a very long process followed up by a long recovery and radiation.

During this journey Judy will be off of work for an extended period of time and will occur many expenses. Joe too will need to take time off of work and will occur travel expenses so he can be with his wife during this critical time.

Judy has dedicated her life to helping others. She has been a very loyal friend, family member, mother, sister and co-worker. This is our opportunity to assist Judy in her journey. We can not even imagine the heartbreak and pain Joe and Judy are going through however we can assist them with some of the financial burden that will occur during this journey.
