A true "Joy of Life"!
Our story begins with Judy McClure who lives in Ely, Minnesota. She is a cherished daughter, sister,mother, grandmother, great grandmother, colleague and friend. An accomplished pianist who also teaches music, holds recitals, plays for her church every Sunday as well as weddings and funerals. A long term member of the civil air patrol, private pilot, realtor and team member of the North American Bear Center.
Judy was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer in 2015 in which surgery and chemo treatments were successful. Judy stayed strong and positive through the entire battle! She has been cancer free up until now at which time we have found the cancer has spread and she is now diagnosed as stage 4, terminal with possibly 12 months to enjoy life. The cancer is confirmed as spread to her liver with unknown spots located in her lung(s). She is undergoing bi-weekly chemo treatments for the next two months after which time another CT Scan will reveal any options that may be available and what path God has planned.
Judy has a "JOY FOR LIFE", has always been strong, caring and active in her life as well as others around her and is accepting of God's plan for her, wherever that may lead her. Judy's faith in God and His plans have always preceeded in her life. She has touched so many other lives by sharing her music, joy, happiness, talents and knowledge.
Family is priority next to God and Judy has started her bucket list to be able to enjoy what time she is allowed by our Father to remain here on earth. When asked "what do you want to do"? Her answer was only this; "I want to have all of my family together again, one last time, for the opportunity to spend time with each and every one of them, all together, in one place, for a week, enjoying each others company. I want to be able to enjoy my kids, grandkids, great grandkids and family all together before I am unable to do so".
Her family is quite large , spread out across the US and includes 4 sisters, one son, two daughters, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as spouses of the sisters, children and grandchildren.
We are raising funds to support Judy's bucket list wish and make this a reality for her!
Donations to this campaign will be used to secure a large cabin(s) or lodge in the Ely, Minnesota area some time around August 12, 2017 as well as arrange transportation and meals to ensure that all of her family will be able to spend this loving time with her. There will be approximately 21 family members who this will need to have travel secured as the family members are not in a position accomodate this financially.
Our goal is to the raise these funds quickly, within the next couple of months.
Any remaining funds will be available to Judy for use to enjoy her life as she continues her battle with this terrible disease.
Your support in anyway possible is a blessing and greatly appreciated by Judy and her entire family. It will enable the family to reunite, for the last time during Judy's lifetime here on earth and enjoy the much needed time, which is so precious, to reconnect, make lasting memories, share love, support, cry together, hug each other and process this as a family....together.
