They were coming down Cemetery Rd. in Bowling Green, Ky, when a truck with a lawn mower trailer attached pulled out, unhinged and swung in front of Addie’s car, swinging them into on coming traffic and resulting in them getting hit head on, and from the side. Addie walked away with minor injuries, but all three girls were left in critical condition. Jude 5, was driven to the medical center in Bowling Green because she was too unstable to be life flighted, and both other girls were life flown to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville. Once Jude was through surgery and stable enough to be flown, she was air flighted to Vanderbilt as well. All three girls remain in critical condition and are continuing to have surgery’s and medical treatment. None of the girls are currently conscious, and prayers are needed. We are asking for donations to cover the medical bills of the girls, and to also help the parents while they are having to be away from work. Please consider donating, for every dollar will be appreciated.

We can now breathe a little easier!

As for recovery updates, HANNAH IS HOME! She’s still learning to walk and is in therapy twice a week to get her left side moving again, but it’s going well! Our biggest worry right now is reminding her she can speak unprompted, which she will do about once a day, but we’re getting there!

As for Norah, she’s fully recovered, and back to running through the hallways screaming with their little brother, and going to school!

We finally moved into our new house, and Hannah can get around so well here! It’s the most bittersweet experience we’ve ever been through, but we’re getting through it. (I choose to say through it, because losing Jude is something we’ll never be okay with. We will never get over it.) I sleep with a box of her things beside my bed, and fall asleep with my hand in the box. I’ve also started seeing a therapist. Norah and Hannah have memory bracelets on that they won’t take off even for a bath, Kyle is finding his own piece in diving into healing Hannah, and Matt is really doing the best he can. We’re all taking it day by day. If you see us out, we’re all still pretty welcoming of hugs. It’s been over 2 months, but we’re all pretty stuck in a time warp where it feels like we haven’t seen her in a year, but all this just happened yesterday. It’s so strange.

I will continue to update on Hannah’s recovery, we’ve just been so busy with the kids and moving, I haven’t had the chance. Thank you to everyone keeping up!

Hi everyone. I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated. But I’ve been waiting for something BIG to happen! Guess what... Hannah is STANDING ON HER OWN! She’s doing it guys! She’s also eating solids, and talking more and more! We keep seeing more of her personality come back out, all the time and we are sure she’s going to make a full recovery over time

Norah has a couple more weeks in her neck brace, but that’s it! She’s been spoiled by everyone who’s had access to her, and she knows she a princess right now. So thank you to all the friends and family who have made adjusting to “normal life” easier on her. She looks for little “magic tricks” from Jude all the time. We all do honestly. She’s said for the last few days around lunch time, “I bet Judy is at McDonalds right now...”. She’s so sweet and silly

Please continue to send your love, as we aren’t quite “out of the woods” yet. We’re still constantly back and forth between hospitals whether that be with Hannah, or taking Norah to therapies and checkups. We’re lucky to have you all and our huge support system. We would be lost without you. I know that seems cliche, but we really couldn’t do anything without everyone’s love, support and kindness.

Anyone who is in Bowling Green, please checkout my Facebook page or lookup the “WKU For the Love of Jude” game! On Valentines Day, WKU Men’s Basketball is playing MTSU at Diddle Arena, and if $10 of each ticket sale goes towards our family. We will all be there as well, if you want to drop in to give us hugs or say hello!

Thank you all again! I’ll update again in a few days! Pray for more good news!
