John's Heart Transplant

 Hello, family, friends & beyond! 

As some of you may know our dad has been sick with congestive heart failure over the past 13 years. The past 3 years have been specifically challenging as he has undergone multiple heart surgeries and a thousand doctors appointments.

The time has finally come for him to have a heart transplant. We are waiting for a new organ and doctors told us to be ready, as it could happen any day now. The surgery will take place at the hospital in London. Winter is the most common time of year for this surgery to occur.  

We cannot cover the expenses of this surgery and are asking for help. Our family has struggled financially over the past few years as our dad has been off work and mom has taken time off for some of his appointments and smaller surgeries. 

Some of the upcoming expenses include:
- 1 month in the hospital following the surgery
-3 months of rehab where John must go to the hospital every day and therefore live in London 
-In that 3 months John cannot be left alone, thus our mom will be taking some time off work to be with him
-maintain our home in Waterloo where we (the 3 kids) will be living and going to University
