Joy Production Foundation

In our mission to serve special needs persons of all ages, we have developed a powerful and unique outreach program! To accomplish our outreach and go to our special clients we need a BUS!!! So we are having a "Build a Bus" campaign to get our school on the road.  As the donations grow so will the parts of the bus, literally and figuratively.  Our plan is to convert a short bus and fill it with equipment for our horticulture and digital media classes, geared toward special clients and open to all.


Every year, tens of thousands of children are born with special needs. More and more parents have changed the playing field for their children by not following the old norm of placing them in an institution.  Instead, they are bringing their bundles of joy home, entering them in school early, and giving them more of a hopeful future than ever before.
 

Schools have mainstreamed special needs into regular classrooms with great success and encouragement. The curriculum has progressed over the years. Granted, that has been a process that still needs attention, but it has also paved the way for more. However, after the age of 22, there is not much for special needs to do other than Special Olympics.

 
While the Special Olympics continues to be a wonderful program, a need for more variety in available programs has arisen over time. Due to our desire to provide more educational opportunities for our children, we created a science school for the special needs community covering gardening and theatre productions, to start.

 
Our goal is to bring these opportunities to Orange and Lake Counties (and beyond) by raising money for a bus tone mobile along with equipment, instructors, facilities and, of course, advertising.

 
Our neighborhoods are unique (Central Florida) because we have so many people who love the entertainment world, mainly because many of the employees of our famous theme parks live here.

 
We want to open doors for people who don't normally have these soulful ways of expressing themselves.  In addition to providing new outlets for personal expression, it will open new doors for unique employment opportunities, such as working in greenhouse environments, joining the entertainment industry, doing video production, performing computer operations, using multimedia, and more.
