Josue's Medical Treatments

Josue was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 16 years old. Several months ago he suffered a debilitating grand mal seizure lasting fifteen minutes. He is in a treacherous state requiring much rehabilitation and full time assistance from his family.
There is a proven medicine he had been taking which reduces his seizures from one every other day to one seizure every two weeks. Obviously, this medicine provides a much deeper base for him to move forward in rehabilitation without these regular epileptic set backs.
The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds for this medicine to relieve Josue's seizures. It is a powerful and miraculous medicine for his condition. This medicine, though it is relatively inexpensive for the dramatic effect it has on Josue's life, is still a cost that requires the asking of your help, financially.
To break it down, Josue and his loving wife Heyma are asking for the amount of funds to procure 12 months of the medication, as eventually they will be returning to their home in the depths of the Amazon rain forest. This is approximately $2,000 dollars for one year of treatment, including the seeking out of a doctor/specialist here in the United States. He needs professional medical treatment and examination.
Broken down even further, this is approximately $5.50 a day that is required.
You could help them TREMENDOUSLY with a small financial donation. 1 seizure every other day versus 1 seizure approximately every 2 weeks. OR, 15 seizures a month versus 2 seizures a month.
$150 - $160 would support Josue's medicinal cost and other medical supports for one month.
Josue and his wife, Heyma, have traveled to Texas to be with Heyma's family for support and more facilities then they have at home in Brazil. While being in the United States, there is a much greater opportunity for them to acquire this medicine then in the middle of the rain forest.
As a farmer and gardener deep in the rain forest of his native home, this grand-mal seizure has ended his ability to provide the humble means that he was previously creating for his life and his family. Heyma has been with him every moment of every day, working with him to help during this hard time, and this is not creating financial gain for them in any way.
If Josue can recover as soon as possible then this family has much better odds at supporting themselves long term.
Heyma desperately needed help and invested herself into the decision to make the arduous journey from the middle of the rain forest, up through central America and Mexico to bring her disabled and recovering husband to Texas. So now there is not an option except for full concentration on the health and healing of Josue here in the U.S. One thing the U.S. is capable of producing well is the good medicine which is so helpful in Josue's recovery.

Let me introduce you to Josue Silva Dos Santos, son of Jurival Silva dos Santos and Maria Eunice Oliveira da Silva from Ceu do Mapia. He was born and raised in the Doctrine of Santo Daime, received his star from Padrinho Sebastiao at the early age of 7, and has dedicated his life to working in the Amazon Forest most of his life.
In May of 2018, while visiting Ceu da Montanha, Josue suffered a debilitating seizure that hospitalized him for an entire month.
Since then, Josue has been struggling to return to a normal daily life. In the quest for a better life and medical treatment, I am sending this request to all people who might know and love me, and who may want to help restore Josue back to health.
We are seeking to raise sufficient funds so that he may purchase much-needed medications. I am sending this call out to anyone who might be able and be willing to help.
Josue had no opportunity to attend school or learn a trade. But he has worked planting the fields among his family members since a very early age. He truly is a wonderful, integral man who loves and respects all forms of life, especially the Amazon Forest. Josue is a humble and noble man. He is an exemplary human being.
I have observed and learned that his faith in God and in his brothers and sisters are what inspires his perseverance in his quest for a cure.
