Joshua's Medical Fund

Donation protected

Friday night around 7:30 P.M Joshua was involved in an ATV accident in which he hit a hidden culvert. He was noticed by a semi driver who pulled over and got emergency help to the scene. After EMS arrived they called for a life flight to the seen for transportation. Joshua was brought by helicoptor to Hennepin County Medical Center unconscious with a breathing tube inserted at the scene. He immediately received several units of blood transfusions as he had lost a lot of blood at the scene. Joshua was brought to the operating room where he had emergency surgery to remove his spleen. He was also also noted to have a traumatic brain injury, a fractured rib and a fractured sacrum as well as minor swelling between his C1 and C2 vertebrates in his neck. His surgery went well. He has had several tests done including MRI's, CT scans, Ultrasounds, and blood tests. He will be starting therapies tomorrow including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Some of these therapies are expected to continue even when discharged from the hospital.

The funds are being raised to help pay for escalating medical costs as well as helicoptor transportation to the hospital.

Our family is very thankful and grateful for the amazing family and friends who have been supporting us with their thoughts, prayers, and time spent with us at the hospital. We are also very thankful for any donations made to Joshua's medical expense fund.
