Joshua's Heart Failure Campaign
Donation protected
Joshua was originally diagnosed with viral cardiomyopathy in 2007 after strep throat attacked his heart. His heart function lowered to 8%, nearly causing him to lose his life. But over the years, function has increased to 28%. After his pacemaker battery replacement surgery in December, for reasons yet unknown, further damage was done to his heart and function decreased to 13%. Eleven days ago, Joshua was admitted into Owensboro's hospital with pneumonia. Because he was treated as a regular pneumonia patient and not a serious heart patient, further damage was done to his heart and function is now down to around 10%. Today he is being transferred by ambulance to the University of Kentucky's heart failure unit, and his length of stay is yet to be determined. We are raising funds for travel expenses and bills due while he is away receiving treatment and would greatly appreciate any help or prayers possible.
