Also, THANK YOU to our hero neighbors for saving my parent's lives. My parents wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for the neighborhood coming together like it did. East Side San Jose STRONG! I have never been prouder to be an East Side San Jose resident, we as a community rise to help one another during difficult times and I am forever grateful for this <3
Today, my parents were trapped in their home when a fire broke out. Pa suffers from Alzheimes and was disoriented and badly burned. Ma jumped out of the second story window to escape the flames, causing her severe injuries as well.
They are both in ICU and intubated, the hospital staff are working to keep them comfortable and the hopes are to have Ma breathing on her own in the next few days. The staff have been amazing and we are grateful for all their care.
Pa wasn't as lucky and beacuse of his Alzheimers he wasn't able to call for help and is severly burned, he will require a longer stay, tretament with a plastic surgeon and around the clock care.
We've been asked over and over again ,how can people help? Our family says prayer, ALL prayers are welcomed and appreciated!
We also recogonize that people want to help financially as Ma and Pa recover. We set up this account to help raise funds for medical bills, and to support with costs of after care and hopefully rebuilding a home for Ma and Pa.
All funds will go to Ma and Pa, to pay their bills and provide financial relief so they may focus on their long road to recovery.
