Jordan Lovelace Relief Fund

The Dallas Conservatory's own Jordan Lovelace, has suffered an unimaginable loss. Tragically, his brother was killed in the early morning hours of April 24. We are coming together to support Jordan and his family at this difficult time and hopefully help to create a brighter future for this truly talented artist.
Before his brother's death, Jordan's star was on the rise. In 2016, he won the coveted Grand Prix award at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), was accepted on scholarship to Summer Intensives such as Boston Ballet School, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and The School of American Ballet.  Additionally, he was chosen as one of only a handful of young dancers to receive the Future Artist Initiative Award by the American Dance Institute. He accomplished all of this after only 2 years of formal ballet training with TDC!

In the years since beginning his dance journey, Jordan's notoriety and accomplishments have continued.  He attended Boston Ballet's Summer Intensive where he was invited to stay to train year-round with the company, was selected for the Repertory Companies at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, was twice named a Regional Outstanding Dancer by New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA), and recently auditioned and was selected for one of only a few coveted positions at the four-week Summer program of the prestigious Royal Ballet School in London!

Jordan's 2018 summer plans include attending NYCDA National Finals where he will audition for thousands of dollars in college scholarships, followed by four weeks in London training at the Royal Ballet School. But in order to get there, he needs your help. This sudden tragedy presents a real financial challenge for Jordan's family, and we don't want this unexpected hardship to derail Jordan's ballet dream.

Previously, Jordan received a gift from a single angel donor of $10,000  that went toward paying for his training and associated travel for the 2017 year. We humbly ask that you donate now toward another angel gift for Jordan. Your gift will ensure he's able to continue training and developing into the dancer he is destined to be. Please give large or small to help Jordan keep dancing through the summer in New York and in London.

With your help and through your generous donations, we hope to show Jordan that good can come despite these tragic circumstances, and that he can prevail and his star can continue to rise.

Sincerely,
The Dallas Conservatory
