Dear Friends,

Our friend, dad, uncle, mentor, co-conspirator, Oyster-evangelist and food pioneer, Jon Rowley, is up against some very difficult health issues. Jon has been diagnosed with a terminal disease and needs assistance with medical care expenses. His daughter Megan is currently helping to care for him but does not have the resources to do so in the way he needs. She needs our help.

If you know Jon, you know how generous he is and he could use our generosity now. We hope to raise at least $50,000 and time is of the essence. Please donate what you can and spread the word. His daughter, family and friends are trying to keep him comfortable and ensure he has the care he requires. They will be ever grateful for your support.

Jon Rowley has given so much to this world and to all of us who have crossed his path - there aren't words to do justice to all he's contributed to the food world in Seattle and beyond.

Please consider a contribution to help with Jon's care. It will make a world of difference at a very tough time.

Hello friends, family and admirers of Jon Rowley.

Many of you may have already heard, though some of you may have not, that Jon passed away on Wednesday morning.

Over the past two weeks, Jon had the opportunity to read the messages sent by all of you, wishing him well and recounting tales of your times with him. The generosity and friendship shared by all of you moved him deeply and brought him so much happiness.

His family is deeply grateful to all of you for the love and support you've shown them, and Jon, during this very difficult time.

When details are finalized for a Celebration of Jon's Life, we will share them here in hopes that many of you can be there.

Thank you all, again, for your generosity and kindness.
