An Assist for Negrette
If you've found this page, chances are you already know Jon or his wife Macaul. So you may know that Jon was born with Ehlers Danlos syndrome - and you may know that at the ages of 12 and 14 he had open heart surgeries, leaving him to be the toughest guy I know with a pretty rad scar!
[Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is an inherited condition that affects the connective tissues in the body. Connective tissue is responsible for supporting and structuring the skin, blood vessels, bones, and organs - so, it's a big deal! It's made up of cells, fibrous material, and a protein called collagen. ]
Two years ago, Jon had complications due to his diagnosis, which left him in the ICU for about a month. Having seen what that does to a family, emotionally, having to take time from work and financially - it's something I never want to see anyone go through again.
Most of you know how crazy medical bills can get with just your average upkeep, let alone when there's something more complex. Jon and Macaul are far too familiar with this.
Come January, Jon will need another aortic aneurysm surgical procedure, which will take them to Cleveland for about a month - where an amazing specialist will perform this surgery. In order to ease financial concern and let them concentrate on more important things, I wanted to start a go fund me for hotel, being out of work and other expenses to help them out. Any additional money can go toward their medical bills, obviously!
Thanks so much for taking the time to read. Any small amount will help - and you have until mid-January to contribute, so please share!
much love - lisa.

Jon and Macaul want to thank everyone for their well wishes, positive thoughts and prayers. The surgery last Tuesday went well, Jon has been out of the ICU since Sunday and gets to leave the hospital today! He will need to return for the second part of the operation in June.
