An electrical bathroom fire, several days before Christmas, destroyed the upstairs of our home!
After weeks of making due for our family, we have exhausted our resources and turned to our local WTKR, taking action, family for help!
Today we received news from an owner at Patriot Property Management that in order to begin restoration of the place we call home, my fiancé and I, along with our two boys (10 months and 2 years old), are immediately in need of an extended hotel stay. The repairs, they said, will take approximately a month, at the least. We are grateful for their decision to allow us to keep renting our children’s first home, after experiencing this unexpected tragedy over the holiday season. We are also thankful that the VBFD, Station 10, immediately came to our rescue! Although we have a goal to cover hotel expenses, any dontations at all would help during this time to keep our children safe and warm. We are truly grateful to even be alive. Thank You
