Johnson Emergency Housing Fund

A single mother and three beautiful children are in need of emergency funding for housing. They are currently in a shelter apartment, but they can only stay there for thirty days. If no assisted housing is found by then, they will be back to living in an old camper.
Early this year, due to circumstances beyond their control, they ended up losing everything they owned and had to move into an 1970’s motor home camper. The motor home had many serious breakdowns. Between repairing costs, gas and propane for heating, the familie’s funds were depleted to nothing. At this point, getting ahead was next to impossible. With the cold weather getting into the teens, Child Protective Services began making threats.
The kids are and were always bathed and in clean clothing. They go to school everyday while their mother is at work. They are fed and were staying warm. The only crime they were guilty of was homelessness.
I noticed a plea from her on Facebook for anything they could rent for cheap to get through the winter.
After finding out more and more, I decided to adopt this family for Christmas. I sought out help and Christmas is going to happen, but now we still have the housing issue and some household items are still needed.

We are looking into affordable apartments or a duplex type house for them. Assisted housing does not happen overnight. It can take months. What we want, is to get her, and her children, into permanent housing right now. When assistance kicks in, they will be able to stay where they end up. What I’m asking for is donations for the first few months rent and much needed household items and furniture. They have very little clothing and need winter clothing now.
Many angels have stepped up with presents, furniture and used household items, but we are still short.
