On Sunday 02/26/17 John Davidsons home that he shares with his daughter Hali  in Mallory Creek was destroyed by fire and they lost everything!Thankfully no one was home at the time and the family dog was rescued by a neighbor,  but everything else is a total loss including poor Hali's pet fish and hermit crab which she is mourning the loss of at this time! They are devastated,  as we would all be after this tragic event! We are attempting to raise funds to assist the Davidson family during this tragic time and showing our support and love for them all!  If you are feel lead please feel free to make a monetary donation so we can help them get back on track.  No amount is to small and they will be extremely grateful for the assistance! Lets stand together as a community and assist the Davidson's rebuild! Hali thankfully has other resources for clothes and other immmediate needs,  but John lost all of his posessions. Immediate needs for him at this time  also include clothes. His sizes are XL shirts and  34/30 pants. You can contact me,  Paige Saburn at 910-619-0088 for assitance in pick up or Kelly Brantley at 910-620-9644  and we will be happy to ensure he receives any donations. At this time I am unsure about household items but will update you when I get more info if you have some to donate because he is determining a plan for residency until he can rebuild! Thanks again for supporting this family in their time of need!!

A Little Good News for your Sunday!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and are enjoying time with their families! I cannot believe it has already been one week since John and Hali Davidson's home was destroyed by fire and their lives were turned upside down. Though this week has been a difficult time in their lives to say the least, with the help and generosity of many they are finding their way and trying to get their lives back on track and they are making good progress!! This all would not have been possible without the help, support and encouraging words and prayers from everyone of you that have stood by them during this time. They are grateful beyond measure! I also wanted to share with you all a picture of sweet little Hali Davidson. In the picture she is smiling and happy and this is all because she is holding her "Nunny". You see, Hali's Nunny is a special beloved stuffed bunny that she received as a baby and has toted it with her most everywhere she goes! Her Nunny has been on many adventures with Hali and she LOVES her Nunny dearly. To many, Nunny is nothing more then a little stuffed animal... but to Hali her Nunny is so much more! Her Nunny has been there to help protect her when she scared, comforts her when she is sick, make her smile when she is sad, and loves her when she needs a friend! You could say that Nunny is a part of the Davidson family! Cherised and loved deeply by the 8 year old girl! Unfortunately, last Sunday when the fire ripped through the Davidson home Hali's beloved Nunny was in the home and perished with the flames. Hali was beyond devastating by all the events.. but the loss of her Nunny has been extremely difficult as you can imagine it would be to any child. Not only did Hali have to cope with the loss of the home, her fish and hermit crab she also was deeply saddened when she recalled that her little Nunny was no longer. She had lost her security of her home with her dad.. and she also lost the security of her Nunny... This all changed later in the week thanks to the generosity of a family friend that heard of Hali's loss. Hali was so ecstatic to receive the most precious of all gifts, when she opened the present and found a brand new Nunny for her to love and cherish. Hali was smiling from ear to ear and not only happy, but relieved to have a familiar friend to comfort her through all of these difficult times. No it is not the same ole Nunny she has grown to love over the past 8 years.. but in many ways I like to think this new Nunny maybe a new and improved version.... You see this Nunny means even more than the original! it is not just a stuffed toy that is a duplicate to the Nunny that is forever lost.. It represents so much more to Hali! Sure it offers the same thing the original Nunny did.. comfort, love and a forever friend.. but it also offers her peace of mind and the true security of knowing that they are all truly safe, loved, cherished, and they really will be all right! That herself and her dad will make it through every obstacle that is to follow and they can do so with joy in their hearts ! Sure, things may not be the same... but they can be different in a great way and sometimes they can even be a little better.. because now they will be cherished and loved a million times more!! How wonderful is that.. that we as a community joined together to play a small part in helping this family get through all of this? Hali's mom shared with me also that after the endless nights of worry and tears and fears that one night several days ago as her and Hali sat and talked about the events of the week, Hali looked at her and said "This has been the worst week of my life!" A true statement indeed from this beautiful sweet, brown haired, freckled faced little ball of energy my family has come to love over the past several years like she could be one of our own. Her mom then said that what made it all ok is that as Hali professed her disdain for the week they have endured, she did so with a smile on her face! Hali can smile because she knows that people like you have taking the time to reach out and assist the family in one of the darkest times of their entire life... and by her own admittance Hali's worst for sure!! Along with the love and support of Hali's mom and dad and immediate family and friends I am happy to say..YOU MADE THAT SMILE POSSIBLE! Thank you again for your donations! On behalf of the Davidson Family we want to ensure that you are aware how the support you offered during this tragic time is both greatly appreciated and humbling! Your generosity can never be repaid but we can express our gratitude! Thank you all again.. and like I told her mom... tell Hali to keep SMILING!! We have got you!!
Hali with her beloved Nunny!

It is finally FRIDAY!! HOORAY! We have something else to celebrate as well.... I wanted to take a second to share some big news with everyone!! Can you all believe it?!?! We have been able to come together and raise well over half of the goal we set for John Davidson's House Fire Fund!! When we initially set up the page I have to be honest, I hoped and prayed we could raise a little bit of money to help ease the burdens this family is facing but I was unsure truly of the response we would get!! I did know however, that our communities are filled with generous, caring, and kind citizens that will stand beside a family in need as I have witnessed this with my own eyes on several occasions! John Davidson has expressed his gratitude to me and everyone else that has reached out to them over the past 5 1/2 days since the raging fire, and I know he deeply appreciates everything that has been done for them! These funds and items that have been donated are not important because they are cold hard cash and possessions.... they serve a bigger purpose than that! They are more importantly about the time, effort, thoughts, prayers, and support that each of you have taking the time out of your busy hectic lives to offer to this family during all of this! They are about choosing to take your hard earned money and just with a click on the computer sharing it with total strangers to let them know that you care and want the best for people, some of you don't even know! it is about the texts, phone calls, offers of a place to spend the night and a hot meal and shower when you have no home to go home too!! I have said it many many times... you are all some of the most amazing people I have the fortune to know... even though I have never met most of you!! Thanks again for your support and encouragement!!! You all have really made an extremely difficult time bearable for this family!
Let's continue to support this family through this time and continue your thought, prayers and well wishes if you will!! You all are the ABSOLUTE BEST!! ❤!

Good Tuesday afternoon to all our neighbors, friends and family! I wanted to take the time to share with everyone who is following John and Hali Davidson's tragic situation a quick update and info regarding the house fire and the amazing rescue of Kia the family pup by Officer, neighbor, and family friend Jonathan Hall! Again THANK YOU Officer Hall for your heroic actions! You can say you are not a hero all you want too but the world knows differently!! I also wanted to take a second and thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for continuing to help this family out and supporting them through this horrible time! As I have said before... I have watched our community in awe on numerous occasions band together, forget our differences, and do anything we can to help or neighbors, acquaintances and friends...but even more than that...we have often banded together to help complete strangers get through some of the darkest hours of their life! How amazing is that? I am so honored and humbled with what has been done already for John Davidson and Hali and what we as a community will continue to do!!! I know for a fact that John echos those sentiments as well, and is appreciative beyond words for all of your generosity! There is a saying that I hear often that says essentially "when things are at there worst, that is when you will find out who your true friends are"..... Well what a blessing that John and Hali can count everyone who has called, texted, donated, shared, prayed, and offered them love and support over these past couple of days on that list!! You are the ones who have reached out, grabbed his hand and helped him not only survive through all of this.....but ensured him everything will be alright! Thank you all again for your continued efforts! Again please continue to share his story and the GOFUNDME link to assist in the efforts to raise money so he can continue to get his life back on track and if you cannot offer monetary gifts or other items, if you could please still offer thoughts and prayers for them they will be truly appreciated!! You can also drop of donations at 117 Caicos Ct in Mallory Creek!! The link for tthe GO FUND ME ACCOUNT is https://www.gofundme.com/johndavidsonhousefire
I have some more information regarding clothes sizes as well. I have learned that John wears an 8.5 shoe and his clothing sizes are listed in the initial information on the GO FUND ME site. Hali is in size 8 clothes. Some people were requesting this information. Again Hali's needs are less then Johns at this time because thankfully she has resources at her moms home. Anything you can do to help will be very much appreciated!! YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!!

My house is the same model and color of Mr. Davidson's house. Looking at his house made my heart sick. I hope this helps in some way.
