Jodi’s Journey To Recovery
Hi everyone, my name is Gina and I'm reaching out for financial help for my best friend of nearly 30 years Jodi.
Jodi is a single devoted mother to her two gorgeous boys Asher 15 and Elliot 14. On March 12th 2018 her world turned upside down. While on the phone to her good friend Carys Simpson ( Angel in disguise) Jodi suffered a STROKE. Without the quick actions and thinking of Carys along with emergency surgery Jodi underwent i would be writing a eulogy instead.
The stroke was caused by a genetic deposition in her family. No warning signs and a massive shock to all Jodi’s friends and family as shes a very fit young strong woman. Presently Jodi’s in a fulltime rehabilitation facility undergoing intense therapy. Major damage has been done to her parietal lobe causing short term memory loss, cognitive damage, speech is slow and slurred, communication and word recall. Left hand is paralysed at this stage but Jodi is working very hard on that.
All i know is that Jodi has a very long hard road ahead of her and unable to return to work in her field as a counselor or any other work for that matter. Money doesn't grow on trees ( i wish!) so the bills are piling up and won't magically disappear . I want to show Jodi that the world is still full of beautiful, kind caring compassionate people that will pick you up when you fall . I'm asking for your generosity to take away this huge amount of stress and anxiety that she is carrying to solely concentrate on her road to recovery.
Jodi is the kind of person that's the last to ask for help but forthcoming the first to give it. Her heart is overflowing with love thats offered to everybody .
Jodi will hopefully be returning home to her boys in a few weeks but thats when it gets harder. Shes unable to do the simple things in life that we all take for granted.
The funds will be distributed to cover basic everyday bills as weeks progress but the medical bills and homecare help is crucial so funding is much needed. Please open your hearts and dig deep to help my incredible brave girlfriend on her journey to recovery. Lets make this happen to ease the burden and stress . Help bring Jodi home to become the strong independent woman and mother she always has been.
