Jody DeVere Family Woolsey Fire Recovery Fund

$6,482 of $38,000 goal

Raised by 65 people in 25 days
Joseph DeVere and his wife Rosanna lost their home and everything in it in the #WoolseyFire Seminole Springs Mobile Home community in Agoura Hills, CA.  Joseph is 100% disabled, he has an aggressive form of MS and a spinal cord injury and this complicates his care and immediate and long term housing for them and their pets.

Joseph is currently at a VA Nursing Care facility one hour away from Rosanna, family and his support system. He receives a much higher level of care living at home with his wife and personal care giving staff.  We are working on moving Joe and Rosanna into a new home and need help to solve many financial and logistical challenges.

Rosanna's 2017 Subaru Outback was lost in the fire and needs to be replaced as well.

Joseph DeVere is a veteran and served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 7+ years.

12/2/2018 So grateful for all the donations, these funds are providing threshold ramps for Joseph and Rosanna so his wheelchair can access his temporary home living with my daughters family, once released from VA Nursing home. These funds provided a bed, a beautiful enclosed cat condo to keep Rosanna’s cats safe, many repairs, work and paint to make ready their bedroom and bathroom, bedding, clothing , shoes, and so much more.

Still a long road ahead and many needs to fill just wanted to express my deepest gratitude for your generosity, love, support and continued prayers.

11/27/18 We are making step by step progress on preparing a place for Joe and Rosanna to live with all their pets. They will be living with my daughter and family temporarily. Much had to be done this week and am grateful for the financial support to make this happen.

Joe is still being treated for MSRA at a VA Nursing home about an hour away. So keep him in prayer along with Rosanna and my entire DeVere family.

We all feel like we are all in a war zone.

Many thanks and blessing to the Many friends, neighbors, strangers (angels) John’s Lutheran church Palm Desert and Ascension Lutheran church Thousand Oaks for your immediate and local hands on support. To our GoFundMe donors: These funds are really helping move things forward.

With deep gratitude and love,
Jody DeVere
