Support Jonas in Memory of Cody

My name is Jonas Makitra. I'm 11 years old. On January 30,2014 my big brother Cody Makitra had a seizure that wouldn't stop. He was taken to the hospital. Cody was always strong and healthy until that day. My brother was put into a coma with medicine to stop his seizures. He was put on a ventilator so he could breathe and had to be fed through a tube in his stomach. Cody spent a long time in the Neuro ICU at Strong Memorial hospital. For a little while he got better but he then he started having seizures again. The seizures couldn't be stopped. My big brother died on June 1,2014. Cody was my best friend and I miss him very much.
I'm doing a fundraiser for the Annual Chocolate Ball. It is on February 7,2015. The Chocolate Ball is a fundraiser for The Epilepsy-Pralid Foundation. This foundation serves families of children with epilepsy. They teach people about seizures and they help make a difference in their lives. They even have a camp for kids where they can go every summer and just feel normal. It doesn't matter if they have seizures there or not. After my brother died they invited me and my mom to camp for a day ,and I got to visit. They let me hike and I helped some of the boys go fishing. It made me think about my brother Cody. They would have helped my brother if he had needed them.
Please help me raise money for this cause in memory of my brother. My mom has been asked to be the guest speaker at the Chocolate Ball this year. They want her to tell my brothers story. Everyone will hear about what my mom and all of us went through. My mom wants people to understand that people do die from seizures. We want to make sure people know about seizures and we want to make a difference.
