Jeff and Karen Whalen SC Flood

As many of you know the flooding in South Carolina this past weekend ruined many homes.

This one home belongs to Karen and Jeff Whalen, the parents of some of my best friends.   Gills Creek behind their house was one of the creeks that caused damage to the surrounding homes and communities. Their house recieved several feet of flooding and from the picture above you can see their yard, but more importantly their cars were flooded and damaged. The house will need numerous repairs from the floors, walls, and air ventilation system. They've lost all of their furniture and clothes during this horrible natural disaster. I know many have been involved in this horrible event, but I ask you to help this family raise as much as we can to help them place their lives back in order. 

Every little bit goes a long way in repairing this house.

I have recently recieved an email from GoFundMe to update donors on how the money will be handed over, used for, and to introduce myself. 

My name is Sam Morgan, I am a family friend of the Whalens and are roommates with three of their five sons. I am from Columbia, SC and attended highschool with all of them.  The money raised in this campaign will go to purchasing new furniture, appliances,  and automobile repairs, which were all ruined from the flooding. I will be writing the Whalens a check for the amount of donations, as they are being deposited into my account.
