Friends of James Kenan High School,
I come to you with exciting news! For the first time in a long time, JKHS is offering an AP Biology course to its students. I have the privilege of teaching this course to 20 bright and ambitious students who want to both challenge themselves and earn college credits this semester. While I am confident that these students will do exceedingly well in my class, they will need the proper classroom materials in order to do so. JKHS is a low income school with limited department funds that will not cover the full cost of these materials. My goal is to raise $1,000 to purchase lab supplies, up-to-date textbooks, calculators, study books, etc. that will enable my students’ success in this course. Without these resources, they will not be able to complete the course’s required labs, which equate to 25% of their overall coursework. Please help me to equip my students with the resources that they need to thrive this semester. Any amount that you can donate is greatly appreciated by my students and me.
