John and Julianne had the kind of love most of us only dream of. They first met in elementary school where coincidentally Julianne's mom was John's 3rd and then 5th grade teacher. They lost touch growing up and reconnected just as John was joining the Army. Julianne went to meet John again at his graduation from basic training, and the rest is history.

John deployed twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart Medal, Bronze Star, and many many more.

Julianne & John just celebrated their 8th anniversary in September and have two beautiful kids together, Lena (5) and Gavin (4). They would Skype any chance they had during his deployment and had spoken last just the day before the unimagineable happened. The love between these two was undeniable and Julianne and John are just two of the sweetest, sweetest people.

On November 12, 2016 John and three others were killed by an attack carried out by a suicide bomber. This young family is in need of all the love and support they can get through this tragedy. The donations raised will be used to pay for any short term/unforeseen expenses the family experiences in the future. Julianne also plans to donate anything in excess of what her & her children may need, to a their children's elementary school in John's name. Let's please lift this young family in prayer and continue to share their story, helping them out every step of the way in any small way we can!

Note: All funds will be sent directly to Julianne Perry, she has already accepted her beneficiary invite. In the meantime let's start sharing please!

To Julianne’s family, friends and everyone who has contributed, I’m beyond amazed by the overwhelming support you've shown her over the past few days. You don't even know what your generosity has meant to her and her family. ‘Thank you’ no longer seems adequate enough to really express the depth of my gratitude, but thank you for keeping John’s legacy alive and for thinking of Julianne and her children.

Julianne is incredibly grateful for the stories she's heard and fulfilled by the confirmation she's received that her beautiful husband SSG John Perry not only died a hero, but also left an imprint on so many people's lives. She's so appreciative of an outpouring river of love and support she's received that will no doubt help with the immediate financial strain her family has faced and you have alleviated!

Please continue to pray for Julianne and her children, especially today, as she prepares to tell Gavin and Lena of John's passing. It was so important to her that the right people be there with them. In Julianne's words, "I need it to be right, I have one chance to get it right". Her children will grow up knowing the beautiful hero their daddy is!!

Julianne, I just learned of your terrible news. I have no words to express how sorry I am for your loss. Freedom is not free. I will hug my husband and kids a little tighter tonight; I am thinking of you.
