Jim Randall's Cancer Treatment
$54,450 of $60,000 goal
into hundreds of young men and women who have gone through the IGNITE Mission Training program of Potter’s Field Ministries. In 2013, my dad was diagnosed with liver cancer. He underwent a series of extremely painful treatments that put the disease in remission. In 2015, he was given a diagnosis of Stage 4 liver cancer. The U.S. doctors have not given any hope for a cure. In researching his options, he found that Mexico has a much more advanced treatment plan because they are not bound by U.S. regulations. There are three options for his treatment, but regardless of which one he selects, it will require at least $60,000 to pay for the treatment. Unfortunately, their health coverage will not extend to the treatment in Mexico. We are asking for you to prayerfully consider any amount at all that you can donate towards the expenses. We believe that a lot of people doing a little bit will accomplish the impossible. Please keep my parents, as well as all of us in your prayers.
Thank you so much for your help.
Dear family and friends,
We wanted to give you an update on how things are coming along. Patti and I will be heading for Mexico this Saturday morning bright and early. I will start the treatment on the same day. Our niece Hannah, who is an oncology nurse at UCLA, will be taking us to Mexico and will receive a tour of the clinic. We are closing the Go Fund Me account this Saturday, Feb. 20. Thanks to your generosity, we have reached our goal! Our hearts are overwhelmed with gratitude for each and everyone of you who have given of your resources selflessly. We wish we could line you all up and give each of you a huge hug. In 22 days, you accomplished what we honestly did not think would happen!! God is so good to us all, and we were able to be the recipients of God using all of you. Our prayer is that God would reward each one of you, and pour out a blessing on you for your kindness to us. We will continue to post things on Caring Bridge as our journey continues. Please continue to pray for us. Thanks again for all your love.
Hebrews 6:10 "God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them."
Love to all,
Jim & Patti Randall
We continue to be in awe as we consider the kindness expressed by all of you through your prayers and financial giving. In the course of only two weeks, we have the finances to not only begin the treatment but to continue some of the ongoing treatment after the initial 1 month in the clinic. This will all begin on February 20 posted on how that is going when we are there. Again, we can't thank you enough for all you have done for us. The love you have poured out brings us to tears daily. The Dr. eluded to the importance of beginning the treatment as soon as possible, and we are so blessed to be able to secure the help in such a timely manner. We thank the Lord and we thank you for responding.
Love, Jim & Patti
We can't begin to thank you for the support we have received in just a week's time. Our family is so blessed by your generosity and words of encouragement! Here is a short note from our parents:
Dear family and friends,
We just want to once again say thank you for your kindness expressed to us this week. We are in awe of your love and God's grace! I have to say I did not have the faith to believe what has happened in such a short time. Because of your generosity, we were able to secure a date to begin treatment. If all goes according to plan, we will be going to Mexico around February 20th. The first step is a 4 week stay in the clinic. I will then have to make some shorter return trips as the doctors consider my progress. We are excited to get under way and are looking to the Lord to continue His faithfulness in our lives. We love you all and are very grateful for each one of you.
Jim & Patti Randall
