Jimmy and Waylon Wilsey

$7,755 of $75,000 goal

Loved by family, friends and fans, guitarist James Calvin Wilsey died on Christmas Eve, 2018 of a heart attack after years of fighting for his health and a stable home. We remember him as a brilliant musician; a smart, funny, and generous human being; and a loving father of his 15-year-old son, Waylon.

Waylon has lost so much and needs a permanent, secure and loving home. Our hopes are to build him a great future. Unfortunately a lot goes into handling affairs after someone passes without a will. Guardianship costs, memorial, medical for Waylon and a college fund. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please give what you can in memory of Jimmy and to make possible a bright future for Waylon.

Thank you

Jimmy's niece here! I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has donated to Waylon so far. You all are so kind and generous.
We are still moving forward with the guardianship as well as the Estate of Jimmy. This has been a long road with so much more to do. Living in Arizona we have to travel back and forth to California to submit or file paperwork. At least we get to see Waylon! These filings are imperative to Waylon's future. The travel and court costs have not been cheap but we appreciate the assistance with getting this all together for Waylon.
The remaining donations are going to assist with Waylon's transition home, continued medical care and a trust for
Waylon's education.
Again, thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts.

Thanks to everyone who's donated to Waylon's future. Please share this page and update. Love this photo of Jimmy and Waylon.
The Avengers are organizing a benefit show in LA for May 26th.
Our original drummer Danny Furious will fly in from Sweden to play two Avengers shows with Penelope and Greg, with Hector Penalosa of the Zeros on bass! It's going to be amazing. (Pssst... we'll also have a very special Red-rocking guest band) Tickets link and details soon.
Thanks for all you do,
Penelope

Thanks to all who have donated! Your generosity is so appreciated.

We've hit $3500+ and hope young Waylon's fund will keep growing. He's facing a hard road after losing so much. Please keep spreading the word and letting the world know about Jimmy's love for Waylon.

The Wilsey Fund will go directly to cover expenses in establishing guardianship for Waylon with Jimmy's niece (which was granted yesterday!!) and for his welfare and education. Thank you again and please share with your friends.

Here's an extensive article about Jimmy summing up much of his life.
