Fundraising for Paul Cady Funeral

Donation protected

My name is Miranda Cady and I am 20 years old.
My father Paul Cady was in a serious motorcycle accident on Wednesday, March 9, 2016. He died the night of March 29, 2016.
He is a wonderful father of three including: myself Miranda, 20, a beautiful 3 year old Lexii Cady and a son Gavin Marston 5,  who lives in NH with his mother. This tragity has had a devistating effect on our family. Below explains my original post about the accident. He had a long recovery since the accident from being in a coma and on a breathing tube- to being up, walking and talking. He was making so much progress and our family and I were so proud of him. He wanted nothing more in the world to come home with the family but with the extent of his brain injuries he needed more hospital time and rehab before that could happen. All he could focus on was getting home and due to his state of mind he was willing to try anything to get out of that hospital. He was able to open his hospital window enough to get out. His room was on the 6th floor and he died immediately.  I would just like to put that this was not an act of suicide but a desperate attempt to be home with the family. Our greif is overwhelming right now along with pure shock that anything like this could ever happen. Funeral costs will be very expensive and we will now need to be raising money for that. I hope you can find it in your heart to help my family in I in this time of need. It means the world to us and thank you for reading our story. There are also ton of news stories out currently so if you would like more details on the accident you can read the articles. Again this means so much ...

love the Cady family xoxo

Here is the orginal posting:
He was not wearing a helmet and suffered from serious head trauma. Since the accident he has been at Maine Medical Center, in the ICU, being taken care of by some pretty amazing people. It is unknown the extent of his brain injuries, but it is looking like a very long recovery road ahead. Since the accident he has been in a medically induced coma, and when weaned off the drugs he is still very incoherent and cannot speak or follow any type of commands. It has been extremely hard on our family and right now we just have to keep taking things day by day.
Prayers are appreciated by everyone but there is also more you can do to help! He is a single father, who lives in his home alone with his 3 year old daughter. It will be at least 3 months if not more before he will be back home. We are looking to raise money in order to take care of his rent, car payment, insurance and any other bills that need to be taken care of over the next few months. Donations are needed as soon as possible and anything will help! With the help of family and friends we are looking to raise about $5,000. My family and I will be extremely grateful for any help, nothing would make us happier then to know his future in his current comfortable home will be secured. Please share for all to see, again anything is helpful!

Much appreciated, love the Cady family <3 xoxo
