Hello,

My name is Alejandra Espinoza Zazueta. Many that know me, know I love animals. Today I ask you to help me save a puppy’s life.

My mom and some caring customers of hers, found this puppy tied inside a plastic Walmart bag that was thrown in a dumpster near her job in Coachella. When arriving, I saw her inside a box laying on the plastic bag she was found in. I noticed she had large abrasions down her back, no movement in her back legs, a deep cut on her head, and her tail was severely cut.

The people that helped get her out of the dumpster thought she would die within hours.

We called the police department and animal control. They said they couldn't help if I planned on keeping her. They told me I needed to get her seen at the nearest animal hospital, and that there was nothing they could do. I told them I wanted to report animal abuse since it was clear she had lacerations on her body, and there was no way she could have tied herself in a bag. They told me if I didn't have any physical proof, there is no way they can prove or even make a case.

As of 5/15/19 @ 9:30 am: The last update we got was that she is making a steady recovery. She is still taking pain medication, but is eating well! She is attempting to walk, but there weren't any other details in regards to her walking. I am waiting for a call from the doctor in order to go into details about her recovery.

For those who have pets, you know animal hospitals are extremely expensive. That is why I ask you to please help cover her medical bills, future care, dog supplies, and a doggy wheelchair! Anything will help! If you are not able to donate, please share!

Any left over proceeds will be donated to Animal Hope and Wellness. There will also be a donation to Alanna Rizzo's future foundation.

OTHER WAYS TO DONATE:

She is in the hands of the Animal Hope and Wellness nonprofit organization based in Sherman Oaks. You can donate to them directly through VENMO @animalhopeandwellness or through their donation cite at https://www.animalhopeandwellness.org/our-store
Their Instagram page can be located @animalhopeandwellness and @animalhopeinlegislation .

You can also donate directly to Alanna Rizzo (Instagram: @alannarizzo) who, with the help of her amazing followers, donated close to $1,700 towards her initial 8 hours VCA hospital visit. She is in the works of launching her own foundation, Guidry's Guardian Foundation, that will help individuals and organizations foster and care for high risk animals. Until then, you can VENMO her at @Alanna-Rizzo

With your amazing support, we can make a group effort to help animals in need.
Although we might not be able to stop animal abuse and animal cruelty overnight, my goal is to start a global discussion about this sensitive topic.

Again, a million times thank you for all the amazing support!

Posted @withrepost • @animalhopeandwellness Found two weeks ago discarded in a dumpster in Coachella - there is a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who beat and burned the 3 week old puppy named Hope.
.
She has been on 24 hour rehabilitative care since being rescued. Is still unable to walk, but we are hopeful that as she continues to heal - mobility and rear leg use will be restored.
.
The burns on her back are very severe, and has left permanent damage to her skin. Given the extent of the abuse and what she suffered through, it is amazing how playful and trusting she is.
.
Thank you to everyone who helped and supported her care. To the vets and doctors @mcgrathveterinarycenter, @ale_espinozazaz who found her, and to @joannakrupa and @theshando for raising awareness and adding to the reward money.
