Seeing A Better Future

Long story short, I'm a great big brother and a poor college student. I've spent my entire life learning and exploring new worlds such as freediving and robotics with my two younger brothers. They are the most important thing in my life and I do everything I can for them. The youngest, Nicholas, is an albino. He is legally blind. He will never drive a car and he will have troubles learning due to his visual impairment. But, you wouldn't think that if you met him. He is the brightest smartest 12 year old I know. How did he turn out so well? Lot's of therapy growing up and video games. Yep. That's right. Video games. This kid loves his games because he can stuff his face inches from the computer screen and see the world he is a part of. Every free moment he gets he is on skype calling his friends and playing games with them. When he was younger it was easy to ignore his disability. So he has white skin and puts on lots of sunblock, big deal, I'm the same way. Yet, as he matures into a young adult I see his very poor vision taxing on him. It affects his everyday life in a way that would completely hault mine.

Now here's my plan:
He has an obsession with virtual reality (VR). We've been taking him to simulation conferences and he loves testing all the newest VR he can get his hands on. I want to fulfill his dream of having a VR set of his own. PlayStation VR is a new and advanced publically available version of virtual reality. My first point is it would make his dream come true. My second point is that I believe visual stimulation is tremendously important for learning. Right now this is the best this world has to offer him. That and Uber. The PlayStation VR launch bundle costs a little over $1000 ($1069.72 from Walmart to be exact). All I need is the $1000, I can handle the rest. My birthday is today and all I want is to see him play in his favorite reality. He wants to be a famous youtube gamer.
